A Word From Our Founder
The creation of Gig was inspired by the Holy Spirit. I started this company in response to God’s direction to use my gift of writing to further His kingdom. He led me to use words to uplift, inspire, heal, and bring joy to anyone who reads or hears my poetry. I started writing at a very young age, but had no idea what the Lord had in mind for me. After both my parents died, I was devastated. I was their sole care taker as they both aged and became ill. Once they individually went home to be with the Lord, I felt so alone and was in so much pain, I didn’t know how I would go on.
I also lost my job of 16 years, due to being away from work to care for my mother while she was ill; she lived out of state. After my mother passed, a prophecy was spoken over my life. The Lord said, “This is not your end, this is your beginning; use your gift.” I knew exactly what that meant. The Holy Spirit had given my the idea of designing t-shirts using my poetry many years before. I knew it was my time, and I knew what I had to do. My mom used to tell me, “To whom much is given, much is required”. I believe she meant that we are truly blessed, and have to find a way to use our gifts, and abundance to bless others. With love in my heart and the Holy Spirit guiding me, that is the intention of this company
